MANAGING THE MUDDULE OF THE MIDDLE

Somewhere between the grand proclamations of your New Year’s Resolutions, and their manifestation, the is “THE MIDDLE”. This is the period of chaos, where fears and doubts come up for healing, and where the actual inner and outer work is necessary to manifest your desires. Here are some tips for managing the muddle of the middle.

The MUDDLE is NATURAL – Accept it.

When you declare yourself a thing, anything unlike it comes up for healing. Why? Because you are a powerful being. There is a light within you. This light is the light of GOD that has been placed within you and it is magical. Your word activates the power of this light, just like a magic wand. If your word is your wand, then when you declare yourself a thing, the light within you says, Oh, Really, then let’s create this thing. It projects ALL of your consciousness forward, INCLUDING the unconscious blockages that you hold. These unconscious blockages are shown to you so that you can overcome them to be that which you declare yourself to be. This creates the muddle. For example, if you have a dream and declare it, the voices of doubt that are in your subconscious mind may be show to you by the voices of doubt of your friends, families and co-workers.

The MUDDLE is CHAOTIC – Accept it.

It is divine chaos sanctioned by GOD. That which WAS is being broken down, disintegrated, disassembled in order to take the components that are useful and build something new. When you want an omelette, you have to break the eggs, chop the onions and peppers and slice the ham (breaking them down so that they can be re-combined in a new form where the sum of the ingredients is better than the parts).

When you order a meal in a restaurant, you know what’s going on behind that swinging door that leads to the kitchen. Its hot, its chaotic, its creative, there’s all kinds of screaming. However, despite the chaos that happens, you know that when your food comes out and it will be perfect. We trust that the chaos behind closed doors is the creative energy necessary to bring our good to us (in the form of a wonderful meal). We trust this process so much that we can enjoy our friends, our drinks and the atmosphere fully. We trust this creative process so much that we don’t have to go back into the kitchen to look over the Chef’s shoulder. So how come we trust the Olive Garden more than we trust GOD?

In the midst of our creative process GOD is the chef of our lives creating a wonderful meal of peace and joy. This chaos is divine. Bless it and know that your feast is being prepared by the loving grace of God. Take

CHOOSE GOD’S VIEW – IT’S THE LONG VIEW

When you are in the muddle, choose GOD’s view, not the EGO’s view. The Ego would seize this muddle as proof of it’s supremacy. A Course In Miracles says that the ego would seize any information and twist it to validate its existence and its world view. That is the EGO’s job. It does this because as you become your higher, divine self, your ego self believes that it is being displaced and destroyed. It is not, it is being overshadowed, but it has seen the world as a barrage of attacks and sees the soul’s overshadowing as just another attack that it must defend itself against. God’s view is that this is a part of your growth and healing, so your task is to surrender your anxieties to GOD, and not get discouraged by listening to the EGO.

For example, Rev. Bonnie Berger wanted to create a home environment that could be welcoming for her new partner, who was moving down to be with her. She wanted to create a home that could be THEIRS, not just HERS. A tree fell on her house, causing major damage and the house to had to be extensively remodeled as a result. Now she could have seen this as a “tough break” if she was seeing it from the Ego’s perspective. However, she took the “long” view, and knew that something better was being built from this chaos.

In summary, the chaos is divine, accept it. This chaos is creating something better. Trust God and take the long view and all will be well. God has your back.

You will get there, and GOD will carry you.
