Don’t Just Survive, THRIVE

To thrive is to grow vigorously and healthily or to be successful and profitable. Proverbs 28:18 says “Without vision, the people shall perish”. In trut h, without vision, your dreams and desires, and God ’s plan for you will not be fulfilled. Without vision , your dreams shall perish, but with vision, you an d your dreams will thrive.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said that Faith is the opening of all sides and every level of one’s l ife to the Divine inflow. Visioning is the practice of op ening to this inflow, as God’s idea comes to you, m oves through you and manifests as you as a part of God’s overall plan. When you vision, everything that is inherent in the vision is inherent in the Vision it self. For example, at one point I envisioned my ne xt professional steps being profitable, and asked my b oss to intercede on my behalf. He agreed that he would do so, but stated “I never run into Vice Pres ident X, and to make an effort to do so would seem so contrived as to defeat the purpose of recommending you. Within an hour, he came back to me and said “You’ll never guess who I just ran into!” (of cours e he had just run into Vice President X because all the inputs to the vision were put in motion by the visi on itself.

The energy of God coursing through you (the God wit hin) becomes the guiding force that moves you forward, not the fear or hubris of the ego, and thi s divine guidance moves you around the pitfalls of the ego consciousness. Prayer opens you to receive th e vision. Meditation keeps you open to the vision as it forms. And support, discussion and your own op enness to the vision without editing, judgment or ego based limitations nurtures the visions into fru ition
