Praying for Prosperity

There are ways to pray that can enhance your ability to draw prosperity to you. However, most people pray in ways that actually can block their prosperity. Here are some brief tips on how to Pray for Prosperity:

Is your prayer an affirmative prayer that acknowledges the divine energy (substance) that is in infinite supply, affirming that this substance takes the form of your heart’s desire? Or is your prayer a litany of lack, which creates more lack in your outer world? What you pray is what you get, and if you pray your lack, you perpetuate lack.

Do you pray to merge your energy and experience with the divine flow so that the abundance of the divine can flow through you and out-picture in your world? This is known as Praying IN God. When you Pray IN God, you acknowledge a divine union, your right to be in union with God as God’s beloved child, and the qualities of God that you possess that enable you to create your good, based on the abundance of divine substance in infinite supply, and your deservingness and your trust of the creative process. Or do you pray TO “Santa Claus” God that you see outside of yourself, who you see as withholding from you? When you pray to Santa Claus, you assume that you are “wrong to be you”, and unworthy. You unwittingly block your blessing because you are telling the universe that you are separate from the creative force and do not deserve your blessing.

Do you pray often, acknowledging that every thought, every deed and every reaction is a prayer? Each thought deed and action sends a message to the universe and the universe responds. Or do you pray only when the situation has become so challenging that only the power of grace can help you? When you pray proactively, you strengthen your ability to connect with the divine, receive guidance from the divine, feel the support of the divine and be at one with the divine. When you are proactively in alignment with the divine, it becomes less possible to create extremely challenging situations because you are constantly guided, supported and loved into situations that are easily manageable. When you pray proactively, you can turn what A Course In Miracles calls the “Holy Instant” into the “Holy Constant”, which is a constant state of joy, peace and abundance that will inevitable show up in your life.
